Jean Prouvé originally designed this metal stool in 1936 for a correctional institution. The piece, which the designer developed in his own workshop, had never been made commercially available and is being manufactured for the first time by Vitra. The stool is made of a folded metal sheet frame, and can be used as a seat or as a small side table.
